When anxiety starts to take over

You might recognise some of this:

  • Anxiety feels constantly “switched on”

  • You’re avoiding situations you used to manage

  • Worry, panic, or physical symptoms are interfering with daily life

  • You feel stuck between coping and actually changing things

This programme is designed for people who want focused, practical CBT support within a clear timeframe, rather than open-ended therapy.

Programme structure

Week 1 – Assessment & Formulation
We take time to understand your difficulties, what keeps them going, and what needs to change. Together, we agree a clear focus and plan for the programme.
Weeks 2–4 – Active CBT Work
We work on changing unhelpful patterns that maintain anxiety, including avoidance, safety behaviours, and unhelpful coping strategies. This may include behavioural experiments or exposure-based work, tailored to you.
Week 5 – Consolidation
We strengthen progress, address setbacks, and apply learning across different situations.
Week 6 – Relapse Prevention
We develop a personalised plan to help you maintain progress and respond differently if anxiety resurfaces.
